Peri-implant and Periodontal Disease Classification System Updated

Clinicians now have a new and globally consistent approach to diagnosing and managing peri-implant diseases and periodontal conditions, thanks to an update of the 1999 classification system. This comprehensive update, issued by the AAP and European Federation of Periodontology, includes a new staging and grading system for periodontitis, as well as the first-ever classifications for peri-implant diseases and conditions.
