OSAP Celebrates Dental Infection Control Awareness Month
The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) will host its annual Dental Infection Control Awareness Month (DICAM), which is held in September.
The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) will host its annual Dental Infection Control Awareness Month (DICAM), which is held in September. Throughout the month of September, providers can demonstrate commitment to infection prevention and patient safety The theme of this year’s DICAM is “Spread the Word, Prevent Infections,”
Each week will have a different infection control focus:
- Week One: Hand Hygiene
- Week Two: Dental Unit Waterlines
- Week Three: Personal Protective Equipment
- Week Four: Instrument Sterilization
- Week Five: Infection Control Coordinator
