
Death Rates May Be Lower in the Fourth COVID-19 Surge
While the easily transmissible Delta variant rages on throughout the world, there may be a silver lining. It seems that the death rates during this COVID-19 surge are significantly lower than in the previous three. This is due to the availability of COVID-19 vaccines, and, as more people are immunized, death rates should continue to decrease. Experts suggest that even though infection rates will continue to rise, the number of deaths will not.
