The American Dental Association (ADA) is “strongly” encouraging dental professionals be vaccinated for COVID-19 and other infectious diseases—although the association is not calling for mandated vaccination.
In an email to member dentists, ADA President Daniel J. Klemmedson, DDS, MD, said that ADA policy recommends vaccination in accord with what the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends, and the CDC doesn’t recommend mandated COVID-19 vaccination for healthcare professionals at this time.
