CDC Amends Mask Recommendations for the Vaccinated

Amid rising COVID-19 cases across the United States, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is revising its mask guidelines for vaccinated Americans. Initially, the CDC recommended that only nonvaccinated individuals needed to wear masks indoors, while those who were fully vaccinated could go without. The revised guidelines now suggest that fully vaccinated Americans should wear masks indoors when in areas with high numbers of COVID-19 cases. The quickly spreading Delta variant has caused breakthrough cases among fully vaccinated individuals; however, the illness in this population is typically mild. Click here to read more.
