Carol Anne Murdoch-Kinch Named First Female Dean of IU School of Dentistry
Carol Anne Murdoch-Kinch, DDS, PhD, has been named the first female dean of Indiana University (IU) School of Dentistry at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
Carol Anne Murdoch-Kinch, DDS, PhD, has been named the first female dean of Indiana University (IU) School of Dentistry at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). She will assume her new role on July 1.
The IU School of Dentistry alumna previously served as an associate dean for academic affairs and the Dr. Walter H. Swartz Professor of Integrated Special Care Dentistry at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where she also worked as a clinical professor in the school’s Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Hospital Dentistry. Murdoch-Kinch’s efforts included multidisciplinary clinical research in oncology, and a hospital-based oral medicine referral practice that allowed dental and medical residents to co-treat patients with oral manifestations of skin diseases.
