ADA Names New Scientific Information Director
The American Dental Association (ADA) has announced Ruth Lipman, PhD, as its new director of scientific information. Lipman’s duties will include managing the development, review and publication of objective scientific information for the association’s membership.
Previously, she served as chief science and practice officer for the American Association of Diabetes Educators. Her work for that organization earned awards from groups such as the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, among others. Lipman has held faculty appointments at Harvard University School of Medicine, Tufts University School of Nutrition and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where she earned her PhD in biomedical sciences.
