Sercan Akyalcin, DDS, a globally recognized orthodontist, is the head of orthodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He has authored or co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed scientific publications and numerous book chapters and has co-edited orthodontic textbooks, including Mosby’s Orthodontic Review. Akyalcin’s research interests include three-dimensional imaging, digital orthodontics, biomechanics, machine learning applications in orthodontics, and craniofacial growth and development. He is frequently invited to present at national and international orthodontic and dental conferences.
Madison Overby, DMD, is a lieutenant in the United States Navy. After spending 1 year as a general dentist at Sewell’s Point Dental Clinic in Norfolk, Virginia, she is now transitioning to dental department head aboard the USS Tortuga.
