Travis Nelson, DDS, MSD, MPH, is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Washington in Seattle and an attending dentist at Seattle Children's Hospital. He has authored numerous articles and has lectured nationally and internationally on a variety of topics. His research interests include providing dental care to children with autism, procedural sedation, and educating medical providers on the importance of pediatric oral health. David Tindle, DDS, MS, is a clinical assistant professor and the academic discipline coordinator for oral medicine and oral pathology at the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine.
Susan Taichman, RDH, MPH, PhD, is an assistant professor and research scientist in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor. Her main research focus is women's oral health. Taichman conducts clinical studies examining the impact of antiestrogen therapy on periodontal health and oral health-related quality of life among post-menopausal breast cancer survivors. Brian L. Mealey, DDS, MS, is a professor and director of the graduate program in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at San Antonio. He has published more than 100 articles, abstracts and textbook chapters in the scientific literature, with an emphasis on the relationships between oral and systemic health.
