Muge Akpinar-Elci, MD, MPH, is professor and chair, School of Community & Environmental Health, and director of the Center for Global Health at ODU. Her research interests include global health, environmental and occupational health, climate and health, and caring for vulnerable populations.

Sean Banaee, PhD, CIH, CSP, is an assistant professor and director of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at Old Dominion University (ODU) in Norfolk, Virginia. He is a certified industrial hygienist (CIH) and certified safety professional (CSP). Banaee’s research focuses on environmental and occupational risk assessment, personal protective equipment permeability, and ergonomics.
