Pooyan Refahi, DMD, MS, is an adjunct professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and a periodontist practicing in the greater Boston area. A diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, he is a contributing author for the textbook Clinical Cases in Periodontics and founder of the South Shore Comprehensive Study Club.

Samar Shaikh, BDS, MS, is an assistant professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston and also maintains a part-time position in private practice. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a contributing author for the textbook Clinical Cases in Periodontics and the electronic version of Carranza’s Clinical Periodontology.
