Lisa F. Mallonee, MPH, RDH, RD, LD, is a professor and graduate program director in the Caruth School of Dental Hygiene at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry in Dallas. She is also codirector of the Master of Science in Education for Healthcare Professionals program, and serves as a dietetic internship preceptor for Baylor University Medical Center’s Dietetic Internship Program. Juan Carlos Ortiz Hugues, DDS, CEAS, AEP, is a master of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, CEAS II, and president of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry. He is the author of the book Ergonomics Applied to Dental Practice and delivers lectures and training in dental ergonomic and microscope dentistry. Pooyan Refahi, DMD, MS, is an adjunct professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and a periodontist practicing in the greater Boston area. A diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, he is a contributing author for the textbook Clinical Cases in Periodontics and founder of the South Shore Comprehensive Study Club.

Samar Shaikh, BDS, MS, is an assistant professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston and also maintains a part-time position in private practice. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a contributing author for the textbook Clinical Cases in Periodontics and the electronic version of Carranza’s Clinical Periodontology.
