Janice Schmitz, CDA, RDH, DHSc, is an associate professor of dental health at the Community College of Rhode Island in Lincoln. She is both a certified dental assistant and registered dental hygienist, and has been practicing dental hygiene for 20 years. Schmitz has been an educator since 2012. Bryant W. Cornelius, DDS, MBA, MPH, is the residency program director of dental anesthesiology at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and a board-certified anesthesiologist. A member of Decisions in Dentistry’s editorial advisory board, he serves as an attending anesthesiologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and as vice president of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists. Jaroslaw Cegielski, DDS, maintains a private practice in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. He is a member of the Florida Dental Association and the Commission on Dental Competency Assessment- Western Regional Examining Board, where his interest is focused on dental licensure.
