EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Discuss the role of fluoride varnish in caries management.
  2. Define the American Dental Association’s application frequency and age recommendations for fluoride varnish.
  3. Explain the method of action by which fluoride varnish counteracts caries — and the evidence that supports its use.
