Dietary choices can positively — or negatively — impact oral health. Clinicians can help by identifying and managing risk, and providing appropriate dietary counseling.
After reading this course, the participant should be able to:
- Define the impact of diet on oral health.
- Discuss how to perform nutritional assessment and provide dietary counseling in the dental setting.
- Identify strategies to help patients understand how dietary changes may improve their oral health.
