EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Discuss the prevalence and risks associated with cancer and periodontal disease.
  2. Identify the association between oral bacteria and colon, gastric and oropharyngeal cancers.
  3. List additional factors that impact oral health and cancer risk, and explain innovative methods that may help patients improve and maintain oral health.
