A review and assessment of sleep bruxism and the potential mechanisms associated with its genesis and persistence.

After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Define sleep bruxism, as well as its physiologic and etiologic mechanisms.
  2. Discuss the prevalence of sleep bruxism, and potential risk factors associated with this disorder.
  3. Explain the implications of sleep bruxism for oral health management.
