EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Define patients with special needs.
  2. Identify barriers to dental care faced by the special needs population.
  3. Discuss treatment and oral hygiene strategies to support the oral health of patients with special needs.
