The implant abutment connection interface warrants careful consideration when restoring dental implants, as the choice of components can directly impact outcomes.

After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Explain the importance and clinical relevance of the implant abutment connection interface (IACI) when restoring dental implants.
  2. Identify the pioneering clinician who introduced the external hexagon-configured IACI, fostering the era of the single-implant restoration.
