Scott L. Tomar, DMD, MPH, DrPH, is a professor and interim chair of the Department of Community Dentistry and Behavioral Science at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville. He serves as chair of the American Public Health Association’s Oral Health Section and is editor of the Journal of Evidence-Based Dental Practice. Tomar is a diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health and serves as an adviser for New York University Lutheran’s Dental Public Health Residency Program.
