After reading this course, the participant should be able to:
- Define obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and pediatric obstructive sleep apnea (POSA) and understand complications of untreated POSA.
- Discuss risk factors, signs and symptoms, and possible treatments of POSA.
- Identify the role of dental hygienists in early detection of and treatment referral for POSA.
