EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Explain the concepts of root canal therapy and instrumentation, and the role asepsis plays in endodontic outcomes.
  2. Discuss clinical factors that can affect the success of instrument processing in endodontic therapy.
  3. Describe the demands placed on endodontic files and burs, the impact of cyclical fatigue, and the role of single-use instruments in root canal treatment.
