University at Buffalo Students Receive Micro-Credential

The University at Buffalo (UB) School of Dental Medicine and School of Nursing have awarded seven students with the new micro-credential, the International Outreach badge. Five dental students and two nursing students completed the two-semester program. Under the program, offered in collaboration with the School of Public Health and Health Professions and the Community of Excellence for Global Health equity, students complete coursework focused on public health disparities, and participated in mission trips. Dental and nursing students worked alongside one another to provide screenings, education, and care to vulnerable patients in Dakar, Senegal.
