World Dental Federation Prioritizes Periodontal Health as a Global Concern
The World Dental Federation has implemented a proposal to raise awareness among the public, health professionals, educators and policymakers about the personal and societal benefits of periodontal health.
The World Dental Federation has implemented a proposal to raise awareness among the public, health professionals, educators and policymakers about the personal and societal benefits of periodontal health. Through a combination of health promotion and disease prevention efforts, the Global Periodontal Health Project (GPHP) intends to turn the tide against a disease that affects up to 90% of the adult population worldwide. According to the World Dental Federation, the GPHP will deliver specialized toolkits for target audiences, a white paper, policy statement, and symposiums at the FDI World Dental Congress.
