Ultradent Products Celebrates its 40th Anniversary

This year, Ultradent celebrates 40 years in the dental industry. Based in South Jordan, Utah, the company began with a simple idea by Dan Fischer, DDS, founder and CEO, who wanted to create a solution to a common problem dentists face — achieving predictable, rapid and profound hemostasis. In 1978, he patented Ultradent’s first product, Astringedent hemostatic. “Looking back, I’m overwhelmed with grati tude for the sacrifice and hard work put in by so many people — whether by my family, our fabulous Ultradent employees,or the leaders in dentistry who cham pioned us in this wonderful endeavor,” notes Fischer. The company now offers more than 1600 products worldwide, in cluding tissue management and toothwhitening systems.
