This continuing edu – cation article — developed with the support of an unrestricted educational grant from Colgate-Palmolive and in collaboration with the American Academy of Periodontology — also discusses adjunctive approaches and newer clinical tools that may help improve outcomes following nonsurgical periodontal treatment.
