app-embedOral health professionals can use the new DentalCheck app to ensure their offices or clinics are in compliance with U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) infection prevention guidelines. The app, available on iTunes, was developed from the CDC’s Infection Prevention Checklist for Dental Settings to give clinicians easy access to the guidelines. Key features include an option to export results for record management, links to source documents, and a summary of recommended protocols. The CDC encourages staff trained in infection prevention to use the DentalCheck app annually to assess the status of their office’s administrative polices and practices. More information about the app is available at cdc.gov.
