3Shape Users Gain Access to Straumann Implant Bars and Bridges

Dental lab technicians using 3Shape Dental System software can now access original Straumann implant bar and bridge libraries in the 3Shape software. Users can scan and design with a 3Shape scanner and send the design files to Straumann global production facilities for fabrication of bars and bridges. This new interaction marks further cooperation between 3Shape and Straumann — two companies that began integrating their libraries and software in 2014. Original Straumann libraries (i.e., DME files) will be available free with the 3Shape Dental System 2017 software, expected to be released in May.
